There are various pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments (e.g. psychological therapy, counselling, behavioral therapy, family education etc.) available for ADHD. The aims of treatment are to reduce severity of ADHD symptoms and impairments, and to improve patients’ quality of life (e.g. psychological well-being, occupational functioning, and educational functioning). Patients and parents are advised to consult professionals (psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, educational psychologist, and social worker etc.) for their treatment strategy.
